Basic Philosophy on Development
KOVA (Korea Vacuum Ltd.) is conducting business activities in various fields to contribute to the development of urban, transportation, and environmental infrastructure that supports society based on core technology it has accumulated so far. We are focusing on creating new markets and business that prioritize social issues such as SDGs and low-carbon society, rather than strengthening and expanding existing business. To do so, we are promoting research and development based on value creation mindset by utilizing new digital technologies such as AI and ICT etc. as well as core technology like machine structure design, control technology, and composite material technology. We also position open innovation as one of the important development method and promote joint-creation with partner companies, collaboration between academy, industry, government, and business
Protection/Utilization of Intellectual Property Rights and Prevention of Infringement
We consider the protection/utilization of intellectual property rights as an important activity for activating business and development strategies. Thus, to secure high level of competitiveness, we protect our intellectual property rights by applying for patents not only in south korea but also overseas, based on competitor analysis and globalization of products. By accumulating this protection, we will continue to conduct stable development activities and achieve high quality products to contribute to society.
Meanwhile, we also respect the intellectual property rights of other companies and pay close attention to educational activities such as patent searches and continuous monitoring during development and design, as well as briefings on the status of other companies' rights to prevent infringement
Quality Assurance Activities
Our main production base has acquired the International Standard ISO9001 certification for Quality Management System, and we continuously try to improve the quality through our operations based on this certification

We choose our business partners through appropriate procedures based on quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) and CSR evaluations of factors including quality, delivery, and price of materials; management reliability and technological development capabilities; and environmental friendliness.
5. Providing information and maintaining confidentiality
We respond to the requests of our business partners in good faith and provide them necessary information that is needed in transactions. At the same time, we ask for useful information from our business partners, and securely manage any trade secrets provided to us, striving to maintain confidentiality.

1. Strict adherence to corporate ethics
We understand and comply with the content and trends of laws and regulations applicable to the Company and the spirit of those laws and regulations (observance of laws). We also explicitly understand our Clean Procurement Declaration, which states that we will not provide or accept entertainment, gifts, or money to or from stakeholders.

Industrial Accident Status and Recurrence Prevention Measures
KOVA (Korea Vacuum Ltd.) has not had a single industrial accident since its foundation, but we still need to focus on activities that eliminate the risks of remaining unsafe conditions and unsafe behaviors. Accidents will occur if we do not eliminate the "unsafe behavior" and "unsafe conditions" that form the bottom of disasters. Once again, we will strive to create a safe and healthy working environment where all workers can work with peace of mind by putting "safety and health first," which is the basic philosophy of occupational safety and health, into practice with the goal of no accidents.

Example of Industrial Health and Safety Activities
Workers who are not familiar with the job and environment are at a high risk of accidents, so we provide individual guidance through safety and health education and on-site training to ensure that employees and dispatched workers can understand the work procedures and risks before starting work, and try to prevent accidents. Each division is making efforts to establish systems that comply with the safety and health management system, such as education for employees of different ranks according to organizational and business types, and education for specific hazardous work.

Every month, each division is actively conducting safety training in order to create “healthy working place” and to promote employee’s creativity and communication
Measures to Ensure Physical and Mental Health
As part of mental health measures, our company is enhancing counseling system through collaboration with specialists and internal/external industrial health personnel, and offering in-person counseling. We are strengthening management in accordance with laws related to maximum extended working hour to prevent overtime work, including various measures to reduce overtime work, conducting health check-ups for employees who work extended hours, establishing post management system, and trying to maintain and promote employee’s health
Risk Management Measures
We plan and implement regular maintenance inspections and disaster prevention measures for buildings, equipment, and devices, alarm equipment, evacuation routes, etc., and actively ensure the safety of the storage, supply, and handling of hazardous materials and maintain the areas around the building. We also have established emergency contact system based on the development of emergency response and implementation of emergency training and safety confirmation system
