| We have established the Environmental Management Promotion Meetings as a cross-organizational function for reducing the environmental impact caused by our business activities through such efforts as the promotion of energy conservation, reduction of total waste emissions, and conversion of waste to resources with value.

| Each of our business sites that has acquired ISO 14001 certification promotes initiatives to address social issues including energy conservation and waste reduction, and shares the details of these efforts within the Group through the Environmental Management Promotion Meetings. The meetings set Group-wide goals, and continue to promote efforts such as monitoring and improvement throughout our business activities.

| Preventing global warming (Energy Conservation Activity for reducing (CO2 emissions) |
| In 1980s, we have been working for many years to prevent global warming by making effective use of fossil fuels (natural resources) mainly at our plants. However, at present, we are making a significant contribution to environmental protection by manufacturing vacuum drying equipment, a key component in battery production process for electric vehicles. |

· In 2020 and 2021, CO2 emissions were reduced due to decreased production caused by COVID-19.
· In 2025, we expect to reduce carbon emissions by 24% through the installation of renewable energy systems.

| Protecting water resources and reducing water use |
| · Water usage tends to increase in proportion to sales growth. |
· Adequate protection of water resources for water conservation -> Water is a precious and limited resource. Since
reducing water usage also lowers energy consumption in the purification process, water usage is managed
appropriately. |
· Although there are no legal regulations or management indicators for water usage/discharge, reduction efforts are
necessary in alignment with the SDGs.

| Wastewater Treatment |
| · Wastewater treatment has been satisfactory since 2022 due to the impact of reduction. |
· The Sewerage Act and the Water Pollution Prevention Act require measurement and monitoring (within regulatory
limits), but there are no regulations on total discharge volume. |
· On the other hand, ESG evaluation agencies (FTSE) include total discharge as a required disclosure item, and we will
continue to monitor and disclose total wastewater volume. |
| · Generated wastewater is legally treated through an authorized wastewater treatment company. |

| Designated Waste (Waste Oil) Treatment (Ton) |
· During equipment development, we will avoid using oil rotary pumps that generate waste oil and instead use dry
pumps that generate less waste oil. |
· In addition to reducing the procurement of materials (the entry point of consumption) and implementing the 3Rs
(Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), we also practice “Refuse” (rejecting items that become waste) more thoroughly. |
| · Generated waste oil is legally treated through an authorized waste oil treatment company. |
